Now steady on in the back there, it wasn’t that kind of survey, just a lot of wholesome yet diverse answers to the question from goo Ranking, what sort of item being held by their kind of girl would press the right buttons.
Demographics
From the 5th to the 7th of September 2012 1,006 members of the goo Research monitor group completed a private internet-based questionnaire. 53.4% of the sample were female, 10.5% in their teens, 13.7% in their twenties, 26.6% in their thirties, 27.6% in their forties, 11.7% in their fifties, and 9.9% aged sixty or older. Note that the score in the results refers to the relative number of votes for each option, not a percentage of the total sample. This question was for the men only.
I’m not sure about the fruit angle, and a rocket launcher or scissors is getting just a bit too silly! I’m unable to find a suitable glasses image, so instead here is someone wearing glasses but holding a pineapple:

One of my most popular posts of 2009 was this list of male fetishes, so I was glad to see that goo Ranking finally got round to posting women’s secret fetishes.
Demographics
Between the 18th and 21st of December 2009 1,077 members of the goo Research monitor group completed a private internet-based questionnaire. 51.0% of the sample were female, 8.7% in their teens, 15.3% in their twenties, 27.0% in their thirties, 27.8% in their forties, 11.9% in their fifties, and 9.3% aged sixty or older. Naturally, only the women answered this survey.
The previous survey got a few comments on the lack of more racy fetishes and how many of the options were not much more than turn-ons, so to answer these criticisms, first note that goo Research does try to keep things family-friendly, and second, that’s the Japanese language for you! The English word fetish when imported into Japanese loses a lot of its strength.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this list too. There’s some quite strange items here, starting from number two… One new word, let alone fetish, for me was Adam’s apple, which in Japanese is のど仏, nodo botoke, or throat Buddha.

Here’s a survey that I really should have illustrated with some pictures, but digging around Google in Japanese almost every match I got was definitely not safe for work! Hopefully text only will pass any filters you might have in the office that could potentially block this survey from goo Ranking looking at men’s fetishes, in particular fetishes men would be less eager to talk about.

Between the 21st and 24th of July 2009 1,026 members of the goo Research monitor group completed a private online questionnaire. 48.2% of the sample were male, 8.0% in their teens, 14.6% in their twenties, 28.8% in their thirties, 26.0% in their forties, 12.5% in their fifties, and 10.1% aged sixty or older. Note that the score in the results refers to the relative number of votes for each option, not a percentage of the total sample. Note that today’s question is for the men only, but the same question has been posed to the women.
Number 2, athletic thighs, is quite a rarity in Japan amongst young women, as usually it is the anorexic look that is in. I’m not really quite sure about wide foreheads, though…
