Which do you find most difficult when applying make-up? graph of japanese statisticsThe cosmetics seller and make-up training school, naturaglacè, catchphrase “Dolce make-up by nature’s way”, recently conducted its own survey into one’s own make-up.

Demographics

Between the 26th of February and the 4th of March 2013 1,505 women completed a web-based questionnaire. Details on how the sample was gathered, or more detailed demographics was not presented.

Not being in the habit of wearing make-up, I cannot really comment too much on this poll, although I will note that from the women in Q5A, Haruka Ayase, Koyuki and Kaori Momoi have appeared together in an advert for SK-II skin care cosmetics.

Cosmetic sets also for men this Christmas

Men, would you be happy to get a coffret set as a present? graph of japanese statisticsApparently there has been somewhat of a trend regarding men becoming more interested in skin care, so this survey from iShare took a look at giving and receiving of make-up kits.

Demographics

Between the 11th and 16th of November 2009 514 members of the CLUB BBQ free email forwarding service completed a private internet-based questionnaire. 57.0% of the sample were male, 33.9% in their twenties, 30.0% in their thirties, and 36.2% in their forties.

I only use my wife’s left-over hand cream during the winter, as my skin does try out very easily this weather. I don’t think I’d really be that happy to receive a make-up pouch for my Christmas, though.

In Japanese, they use a Japanicised version of the French term coffret to describe such a skin care or make-up set.

Japanese women and online shopping for cosmetics

Within the last year have you bought cosmetics online? graph of japanese statisticsAlthough this survey from iBridge Research Plus and reported on by japan.internet.com into cosmetics shopping sites has as the survey base women who are already online, discovering that the majority of them who have shopped for cosmetics in the last year have does it at least once online in that period.

Demographics

On the 22nd of June 2009 300 female members of the iBridge monitor group completed a private internet-based questionnaire. 24.3% of the sample were in their twenties, 38.0% in their thirties, 24.3% in their forties, 10.0% in their fifties, and 3.3% in their sixties.

I don’t think my wife’s bought online, except for a tester kit that cost a bit of money for delivery. She’s won quite a bit, though, including one that came with a Christian book that seemed to be part of a vaguely pyramid-shaped affiliate scheme…
