They are already better than phones. Pads are the future.

And most with the smaller varieties such as Nexus 7 or Apple Mini. I think that shows the 7-8″ size really is the most convenient for people, and Apple was possibly wrong in pushing 10″ for so long.

Me, I rely utterly on my N7 nowadays. When I cracked the screen on my smartphone I even considered going back to a featurephone since I mostly use the tablet anyhow. In the end I repaired the screen with epoxy instead, but the N7 continues to be my main portable device.
