Only, I don’t see the connection between the (possibly) radioactively polluted water and water purification. Neither reverse osmosis nor boiling or any other household-compatible purification process can eliminate radioactivity. Unfortunately lots of people still seem to believe so…
I personally (living in northern Chiba prefecture) switched to bottled water. The question remains, how clean (in terms of radiation) those are.
