I have my PayPal attached to a UK credit card, so I get round that problem!

Everything is harder to deal with when it’s in Japanese! I get a wee bit of money in PayPal every month, so I use that as a budget for domain names, etc.

Out of interest, do you know of any decent Japanese registrars that sell .coms?

One problem I have with the Japanese paypal is I can’t transfer my money from my Japanese account to Paypal. I can though transfer from Paypal to the account. This is unacceptable since I have a job in Japan but have a loan in the states.

First: why not use a Japanese name registrar? Payments and everything is easier to deal with when it’s local.

Second: Paypal in Japan has the rather glaring problem that you can’t get paid via Paypal from abroad. That pretty much killed any interest I have in using it. As it is, I don’t know of a good way to get payment from somebody in the US right now. It’s bad enough that I don’t generally accept any transactions from the USA any more; each time I’ve done it, it’s turned into a major hassle.
