It was easy to get. I'm in Osaka and just walked into the nearest Bic Camera and picked it up. They seem to be often sold out of the White and Black models, but the other colors were plentiful. DS Lite is great for people in Japan learning advanced Japanese. The blog NARUHODO frequently reviews Kanji learning games and what not for the DS.
