More often that not, yes, but you still get a lot of information about living in Japan; I guarantee many people bypass my site to find a more toned down day-to-day perspective.

Posting everyday almost always brings more traffic. I post MAYBE once a week and my stats suffer for it. I get around what Tuner says above unless I get linked by Japan Probe or something which drives my traffic way up.
Also, aren't a lot of Japanese "blogs" the equivalent of things like LiveJournal and Xanga? Pictures of what people had for lunch today and whatnot?

I don't think it's 90%, but I'd wager that it's more than half. Maybe 60% or so?

Funny timing what with my statistics entry today. :-)

Yeah, pretty accurate; I get between 60-150 hits. I'd like to know the percentage of foreign English teachers who keep a blog or online journal; it seems like more than 90%.
