Durf, you are indeed correct! I'll correct it forthwith!

Insidermedicine: Thanks for the input. DIMSDRIVE can be contacted at: http://www.dims.ne.jp/contact/ , if your Japanese is up to it! They do sell on the full cross-tabulated data, etc.

Could someone take a moment and explain what this "Metabolic Syndrome" is? I've been hearing this phrase all over recently but have no idea what it means. Where has it come from? Does it just mean 'getting fat'?

Interesting collection. Do you know of a way we can get the entire publication from DIMSDRIVE Research?

By the way, for those interested in the latest research on metabolic syndrome, a report in Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health shows that dairy products may help lower the risk of this problem. They specifically showed that drinking a pint of milk daily reduced the men’s risk of metabolic syndrome by 62%, and the risk was reduced by 56% if they consumed other dairy products. The greatest risk reduction was that observed in men who consumed the most dairy per day.

We just shot a video on it for insidermedicine.com -- feel free to have a look:
