Während wir immer wieder über diese Situation berichten, ist es auch mal ganz interessant, einen Blick auf Japan zu werfen und die Meinungen der dortigen Gamer zu hören. Auf “What Japan Thinks” gibt es das Ergebnis einer Umfrage, bei der 7000 Japaner bezüglich ihrer Spielgewohnheiten befragt wurden. Hier mal einige Auszüge aus dem Ergebnis: 14,7 % der PSP-Besitzer benutzen die PSP jeden Tag. Nur 10,7 % der Befragten besitzen eine PlayStation Portable. Ein Nintendo DS besitzen hingegen 32,3 %. Gehirntraining scheint das beliebteste Genre zu sein. 54,6 % besitzen solche Spiele. Ganze 43,1 % der befragten PSP-Besitzer haben noch nie ein Feature der PSP benutzt und spielen ausschließlich damit. 25,2 % der Befragten wollen sich in Zukunft eine PSP zulegen. 59,4 % wollen sich ein DS kaufen.
