Japanese women dream of the USA
DIMSDRIVE performed internet-based research involving 5,274 people in September of last year to find out which country’s citizens would people most want to marry. It is not stated whether or not the people interviewed were single or not.
The Asia versus the West split is quite noticeable in the men, but really striking amongst the women. I previously translated statistics regarding international marriages in Japan that shows that the ideals being expressed here do not seem to be realised.
On a slight tangent, I watched the last episode of an NHK English learning program which features an English-speaking Western blonde angel that prods a clueless office worker along the path to success at her job getting a date with her transferred from New York colleague, the ideal tall, muscular, tanned, well-coiffured white executive. The angel’s job was done because the glaikit Misaki finally pulled her man.

However for women there is a marked difference; about 74% in total choose the West (over 40% for the USA alone) versus a mere 7.4% for the East, a massive ten to one vote for Europe and the USA.
Next, looking at the detailed age breakdown, it’s only in the teenage girls group that the USA fails to top the charts, losing out to France and Korea, and equal with the UK. For men in their twenties, American women are preferred over the second-placed Korean women by almost 60%, and the Chinese are back in fifth, gaining just over a third of the number of votes of the USA. However, the older men get, the stronger the charms of the Asian neighbours become, with the gap at its smallest being just a mere three votes. Similarly, for men in their forties and over, Chinese women cut the gap from a third to about a half of the USA score.
For women, as they get older (ignoring the over sixty bracket which has a very small sample size, so may be rather inaccurate) the attraction to American men only get stronger; in their twenties, Americans get just under a quarter of the vote, but by their fifties, it surpasses three in ten. Despite the charms of the disturbingly Harry Potter-like Bae Yong Joon Korean men do not seem to be particularly favoured by the middle-aged demographic.
These two main trends noted above are perhaps reflections on Japanese society as much as on foreign stereotypes. The younger men hold images of themselves as charming the sophisticated Western woman, but as they age (and visit dodgy hostess bars…) they come to realise that perhaps only Asian women could accept their typical Japanese behaviour. For women, after having been around Japanese men for many, many years, they too may come to realise that the Western stereotypes of politeness and chivalry are the only things that could satisty them in marriage.
Bonus points if you can name the people pictured…

Thank you blackpassenger for your reassurance as I am a black guy 19 years old in London planning to go on holiday with my friends in Tokyo for a couple of weeks over the summer.
I hope you are right about the Japanese women loving the black man as I love Japanese women. In London I am loved by girls for some reason (even teachers) I hope the Japanese women are going to feel the same way.
Are there any good clubs that play Hip Hop music over there cause i am going to spend my whole time clubbing and partying there.

Club Pure is filled with drunk chicks and latinos seem to be popular there. Blacks are not going to get any at Club Pure, but Whites of course can get it anywhere in Japan.
I did pick up at Club Neo. Sam and daves 2 is supposedly Black-friendly but that’s a damned lie.
Japanese girls really don’t go for Blacks. It is very easy for non-Black foreigners, including blatantly ugly or fat ones but nearly impossible for Blacks, especially in finding a committed relationship. You might get laid a scant amount of times but it won’t scratch the surface of the amount of love that other races get.

Up yours too blackpassenger. You are an “uncle tom”. I might not be hiphop or reggae style, but I never try to hold another Black person down unless they’ve done it to me first. You are playing into the traps of the non-Blacks.
Blackpassenger probably goes for the ugly girls. I have only bedded 7s and higher. He obviously goes for the lower end (and if he’s happy, that’s cool for him).
I am from California, and yes, I am Black. If I were not Black, some Japanese girl would have paid me to stay with her and I’d be banging all of her friends right now. Blacks can get some in Japan, but very little. Blacks are not respected in Japanese society and most Japanese girls want anything but Blacks.

I find the survey intriguing but disagree with the final conclusion. Today’s youth and the older generation have grown up under very different circumstances. The old people surveyed do not necessarily reflect that the young people surveyed will change their opinion as they grow older. Also, the assumption that Westerners treat women better than Asians is pretty disgusting. Although many people may get that idea from watching too many Hollywood movies, it shouldn’t be treated as a real fact.

Don’t worry, I’ve seen many white guys who really can’t get with Japanese girls except the ugly or crazy ones. Of course the good-looking white dudes can usually land a girl pretty easily but the fugly ones are the guys who tend to boast and exaggerate their ‘numbers’ when they really don’t get much, or at least much in the quality department.
Though the foreign men I’ve met with the hottest J-girls have both been Chinese-American men.
Club Pure and Sam and Daves are both utter shite no matter what gender you are, unless you’re ugly, desperate, and have no standards. Especially Club Pure, even if you combine both genders, there are rarely more than half a dozen attractive people in the whole place there. Some of the girls might look okay in the dark lighting, but go into the girl’s bathroom and see them in real light and then it’s a different story all together. Sam and Daves…um, well, at least you can breathe in the place. No comment otherwise. Been there once, was alright but not impressive enough to make me wanna go back.
Gaijin clubs are pretty whack in general. The best clubs in Osaka are pretty much the regular Japanese clubs, and I can assure you that there are some clubs there where I’ve never seen a white dude successfully pick up a girl. Not saying that a black guy necessarily has a better chance, just saying that white guys can’t necessarily pick up “anywhere.”
If you’re gonna go to Pure, best go early in the evening, down a ton of drinks, get drunk, leave, and go to a real club (there are a bunch of good ones in Amerika-mura). You can barely even dance inside of Pure because of the tables everywhere!

“nohasballz”, you make a few valid points. However and ugly white guy has a much better chance with Japanese girls than a decent-looking Black guy. Being a non-Black foreigner is alread like +20 points and being Black is like -20 points.
Pure does suck IMO. I like Japan and Japanese girls, but pretty much all of Japan (and all of the world except for maybe Africa, which is a place that I personally don’t want to go) is pretty bad for Blacks. I’ve hit up some clubs in Amerika-mura, but of course as a Black I could not pull much. I only went to Sam and Daves so much because they let me in for free.
