PS3 still tops in people’s desires
AdvertisementWith the XBox 360 release date now announced, and the new Revolution controller previewed (and I must say it looks interesting!) more research shows the PS3 still the top must buy for people. It will be interesting to see if the Revolution moves up on the back of its showing at the Tokyo Game Show.
A survey of 1000 people aged 15 or over with game consoles at home was performed by C-NEWS and the Nikkei Shimbun on 2nd and 3rd of September this year. The results are as follows:
Q: Of the following games machines, which do you think you want to buy when it is released?
Revolution 21.9% PS3 72.3% XBox 360 5.8% None of them 21.5%
Compared to the figures from just two months ago when a similar survey was carried out by the same company, the PS3 is up 10%, but the Revolution and XBox 360 have almost tripled, although for the XBox 360 that’s not really saying much!
Q: For each of the three machines, up to how much would you pay for them? (I’m reading these number off a graph, so they are highly inaccurate!)
